Sirius Compact for radar Tripod

Saab opens new production facility for Sirius Compact in Tampere

Saab sees high demand for the passive EW sensor Sirius Compact. As a result, the sensor will enter into volume serial production and Saab will be opening a new production facility in Tampere in 2025.

Saab receives order for Air Command and Control System

In February, Saab received an order from a NATO country for its air command and control system 9AIR C4I. The contract value is approximately 250 MSEK.

Saab receives order for RBS 70 NG from Latvia

In March, Saab signed a framework agreement with the Latvian Ministry of Defence for the short-range ground-based air defence system RBS 70 NG and received an order within the agreement. The order value is SEK 2.1 billion and deliveries will take place 2026-2030.

Saab’s next generation Digital Tower selected for Vilnius Airport in Lithuania

In April, the certified European Air Navigation Service Provider Oro Navigacija (ON) selects Saab to provide its advanced Digital Tower solution for Vilnius Airport, making it the first capital airport to fully adopt this technology. The solution enhances operational efficiency and flexibility, enables centralised air traffic control for additional regional airports, and supports the long-term development of Lithuania's aviation sector.

Saab receives lightweight torpedo order from Sweden

In spring, Saab received an order from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) for the delivery of Saab Lightweight Torpedoes SLWT and torpedo tubes. The order value is approximately SEK 1.3 billion, with the start of deliveries during 2026.

France announces intention to procure GlobalEye from Saab

In June, Saab and the French defence procurement agency, Direction générale de l'armement (DGA), signed a joint declaration of intent regarding the sale of Saab’s GlobalEye Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft to France, including ground equipment, training and support.

SIGINT ship for Poland

Saab launches first Polish SIGINT ship

On 1 July, the launch of Poland's first SIGINT (Signals Intelligence) ship from Saab, ORP Jerzy Różycki, took place in Gdańsk, Poland. The launching ceremony was attended by representatives from the Polish Ministry of National Defence, the Polish Armaments Agency, the Polish Headquarters of Marine Technology, the Polish Navy, and the Chief of Reconnaissance and Intelligence Analysis Directorate (J2). This event marked the launch of the first of two SIGINT ships acquired under Poland’s ‘DELFIN’ programme.

Saab reveals new Counter-UAS missile Nimbrix

In August, Saab has revealed Nimbrix, its first ever dedicated Counter-Unmanned Aerial System C-UAS missile. The missile is developed to counter the increasing threat from small drones on the battlefield.

Saab to lead NATO's new underwater battlespace project

The Saab-led MANGROVE consortium has been selected by NATO to lead the Allied Underwater Battlespace Mission Network project (AUWB-MN). The project formally commenced 1 September 2025 and will deliver interoperability for Maritime Uncrewed Systems and conventional platforms across allied nations.

Saab receives Spanish artillery radar contract

Saab has received an order from the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), for the life time extension of the Arthur radar systems for the Spanish Army. The order value is approximately SEK 540 million (EUR 49.4 million).

Saab receives orders for Arexis system for German Eurofighter

Saab has received two orders from Airbus Defence and Space for the Arexis Electronic Warfare EW sensor suite to equip German Eurofighters. The total order value is approximately EUR 549 million. The delivery period is 2025-2028.
