Saab’s existing Ground Combat Indoor Trainer is a popular virtual training solution that offers a cost-effective and highly realistic way to train soldiers for combat readiness. It has been selected by many customers worldwide, including Finland, Sweden, UK, Poland and Latvia.  The solution is also available as a Studio solution for collective training as well as a Gunnery Unit for individual soldier training.

The new Studio version enables training for up to ten soldiers simultaneously with an array of ground combat weapons including small-arms and anti-tank weapons such as Saab’s AT4 family of support weapons, Carl-Gustaf M4 multi-purpose system and NLAW anti-tank weapon system. This gives troops a valuable and important possibility to exercise collectively in a safe and realistic setting before entering into real combat missions.

“With our Ground Combat Indoor Trainer Studio version, we have integrated an outstanding fidelity in the simulation of ballistics, effects, protection and replicas as well as scenarios to provide a solution that delivers realism surpassing any other offer on the market. This ensures that soldiers are thoroughly prepared and confident to face any challenge,” says Joakim Alhbin, head of Saab’s business unit Training and Simulation.

The Studio trainer will be on display at Saab’s stand at I/ITSEC 1-4 December, booth #1039 where visitors will be able to view and try the product.
