AerotechTelub doubles production capacity for Elekta's Leksell Gamma Knife AerotechTelub inaugurates a new assembly shop on 16 November for the production of Elekta's Leksell Gamma Knife. An increasing number of deliveries have meant that our present production facilities that were built up in the beginning of the 90's have become too small. Therefore, during the autumn, a large assembly shop has been organized and this means a doubling of the production capacity compared with the previous facility. AerotechTelub's long co-operation with Elekta has developed strongly during the latest years thanks to Elekta's sales successes. Our role is in the manufacture and participation in the development work of new models of the gamma knife, the Leksell Gamma Knife. AerotechTelub now has a complete system delivery responsibility and in the latest model there are more electronics and IT than in previous systems. The manufacture of complex and technically advanced products within the medical technology area is a good example of how competence and resources from defence and aviation operations can be utilized.
