Austria orders new BILL-simulator for SEK 100 million from Saab Bofors Dynamics Saab Bofors Dynamics AB in Karlskoga has been awarded a contract for a new Swedish-developed training simulator for use with the BILL anti-tank missile system. The order is valued at ca MSEK100, and it includes an option for follow-on orders. This procurement is seen as a clear signal that the Austrian Army has taken the decision to retain the Swedish anti-tank missile system well in to the future, and it will open the door to future orders. "Austria has had the BILL system in service since 1989, and it is an important customer. This is a strategically important order for us, and we hope that it will lead to future orders for our latest anti-tank missile BILL 2", says Ulf Ericsson, responsible within Saab Bofors in Karlskoga for marketing the BILL system. This new Swedish simulator provides an increased range of uses in training scenarios. The simulator has been developed by Saab Training Systems in Jönköping, who are a subcontractor Saab Bofors Dynamics AB in Karlskoga.
