Saab receives an order for 90 MSEK from US Air Force

Saab receives an order for 90 MSEK from US Air Force After an extensive test and qualification program the US Air Force has awarded BAE SYSTEMS, Austin, Texas, USA an initial contract for the supply of BOL Advanced Countermeasures Dispenser from Saab Avionics. The contract is planned to be followed by further orders to equip the whole USAF F-15 fleet. Saab Avionics is cooperating with BAE SYSTEMS, USA and Chemring Countermeasures, GB for the marketing and production of BOL. In accordance with this cooperation agreement BAE SYSTEMS is now the main contractor in the US, but important parts of the production will be performed in Sweden. The order from USAF is of strategic significance for Saab Avionics as the first one from the US Air Force and confirms the company's position as a world-leading supplier of advanced countermeasures dispensers. Saab Avionics is leading supplier of avionics and electronic warfare systems on the international market and a principal supplier to the Swedish Gripen, the world's first fourth-generation fighter in service. The primary operations are electronic warfare systems, display systems, tactical reconnnaissance systems, advanced electronics and mechanical equipment, and electromagnetic technology.
