Saab TransponderTech sells world's first network solution

Saab TransponderTech sells world's first network solution for automatic information systems Saab TransponderTech AB has received an order to supply a network solution for an Automatic Information System (AIS) that will provide coverage for Sweden's entire coastline. The order has been placed by Telia Mobile, which operates Sweden's AIS coastal network. Saab TransponderTech has already delivered 38 base stations to Telia Mobile, to ensure complete AIS coverage of the Swedish coast. This means that Saab TransponderTech is creating the world's first national AIS network for Telia Mobile. The AIS network solution ensures that data transmitted from the base stations is forwarded efficiently to agencies such as the Swedish National Maritime Administration, the Swedish Coast Guard and the Royal Swedish Navy.
