Saab / Tec-Masters Inc. Team Wins US Army Training Instrumentation Contract

Saab / Tec-Masters Inc. Team Wins US Army Training Instrumentation Contract Saab Training LLC of Orlando, Florida and its team mate, Tec-Masters Inc. of Huntsville, Alabama were awarded a firm fixed price contract valued at $7m for the production of a Vehicle Instrumentation Interface Package or VIIP through the US Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI). The VIIP will provide the instrumentation link for US Army's newest Stryker light armored vehicles at the three Combat Training Centers in California, Louisiana, and Germany from 2003 to 2005. The prime contractor, Tec-Master Incorporated, a small US business, will produce some components and conduct the final assembly and test in Huntsville, Alabama. The VIIP is a proven instrumentation system derived from the successful Tank Weapons Gunnery Simulator System (TWGSS) program fielded in forty US Army sites around the world by Saab Training Systems AB, of Huskvarna, Sweden.
