Saab Training Systems conducts the final system test on schedule for the first turnkey Combat Training Centre

Saab Training Systems conducts the final system test on schedule for the first turnkey Combat Training Centre The Royal Netherlands Army (RNLA) and Saab Training Systems in close cooperation will perform the final system test for the Mobile Combat Training Centre (MCTC). This significant event will be completed during December 2002, at the Training Site Vogelsang in Germany, on time and according to the originally contracted schedule. The achievement has been possible due to the excellent cooperation between the RNLA and Saab Training Systems on this ground-breaking military programme. Saab Training Systems is proud to achieve this important milestone on schedule and both partners see this as a great start for a successful 15 year relationship. The RNLA awarded Saab Training Systems, Huskvarna Sweden, the contract in June 2000, for a Mobile Combat Training Centre (MCTC), with deliveries beginning in 2001. The contract value was over 560 million Swedish kronor. The MCTC system will allow the RNLA to conduct both realistic exercises and analyse the performance of each and every participant, factors that are vital in the maintenance of operational effectiveness. The final systems tests in Vogelsang will be a RNLA company-level exercise including acceptance tests integrated with military procedures in a fully operational environment. Operational use of the MCTC system will commence with the formal handover to the Royal Netherlands Army in April 2003. Saab is one of the world's leading high-technology companies, with its main operations focusing on defence, aviation and space. The group covers a broad spectrum of competence and capability in systems integration.
