UK Land Digitisation work for Saab Training Systems Saab Training Systems is working with the UK MOD to Incorporate the changes in the UK TES vehicle systems as a result of the introduction of the BOWMAN radio system. The Saab BT46 equipment used in the TES environment under the Direct Fire Weapon Effects Simulation (DFWES) programme will be updated to be compatible with the new digital radio system being introduced across the British Army from 2004. - A very strategic contract that proves that the UK MoD has high confidence in our company as a systems integrator, says Johan Ohlson, President, Saab Training Systems. This major upgrade by Saab Training Systems will ensure that the British Army can continue force on force training in a digitised environment. The upgrade features many improvements including enhanced audio messages to the vehicle crews as well as it opens up for future enhancements into the DFWES programme.
