Saab wins MSEK 210 order for anti-ship missile system on Visby-class corvettes Saab has won an order from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) to adapt and integrate a planning and combat management system for the RBS15 on the Visby-class corvette. The contract is worth MSEK 210. "We are very proud to be entrusted with this integration by the FMV. It will mean greater flexibility for the future and for coming installations of anti-ship missile systems," says Gunnar Språng of Saab Bofors Dynamics. The order is a supplement to a previous project to integrate missiles on weapon decks. It is the final stage in installing RBS15 as the operational anti-ship missile system on the Swedish Navy's new Visby- class stealth corvettes. For the first time the planning and combat management system for RBS15 is also being integrated with the 9LV CETRIS command and control system through a newly developed man-machine interface. Work on the contract will be carried out at Saab Bofors Dynamics in Linköping and at SaabTech in Järfälla, Stockholm. Saab is one of the world's leading high-technology companies, with its main operations focusing on defence, aviation and space. The group covers a broad spectrum of competence and capabilities in systems integration.
