Saab and Jernkontoret establish technical consultancy in Karlskoga
Saab AB and Jernkontoret – the Swedish Steel Producers’ Association – have jointly established a technical company called CSM NDT Certification AB. The operation focuses on consulting services within a specific niche of technical quality control known as non-destructive testing.
“We are a complete supplier of services in the field of non-destructive testing,” says Lars Gustafsson, President of CSM NDT Certification AB. Non-destructive testing is the general term for checking various defects in an object, such as cracks or casting defects, without compromising the object’s future use. The company’s services include consulting, method development, training and certification of testing personnel, as well as practical support in the testing process. At present customers can primarily be found in the Swedish steel and engineering industries. The company is based in Karlskoga, central Sweden. Within the Saab AB corporation, the new company will be part of the same business area as CSM Materialteknik AB.
