AerotechTelub awarded winding-up operations in Östersund
Through their Logistics organization, the Swedish Armed Forces have signed an agreement with AerotechTelub, whereby the Saab company will wind up operations at the Östersund Garrison. The agreement will run from May 1, 2005 until the majority of the defense operation in Östersund has been wound up, which is expected to be March 31, 2007. AerotechTelub estimates that the order is worth in the region of MSEK 50.
“We are delighted to be able to support the Swedish Armed Forces in this way as they adapt their operations to the new defense structure. Östersund is also an important business location for AerotechTelub,” says Lars-Erik Wige, President of AerotechTelub. The assignment relates to the Östersund Garrison in northern Sweden, and encompasses operation and maintenance of the Swedish Armed Forces’ information and telecom systems along with retirement of materiel, including dismantling. The scope of the assignment will gradually decrease until the end of the contract, but is still expected to form a valuable base for the continued development of AerotechTelub’s operation in Östersund.
