AerotechTelub wins vehicle computer order from Hägglunds

AerotechTelub has signed a contract with Land Systems Hägglunds AB for a vehicle computer system for combat vehicles. The system comprises computers, displays and video distribution units, and will be integrated in the CV9035 NL Combat Vehicle, which Hägglunds has recently sold to the Dutch Army. The contract is worth in the region of MSEK 80 and relates to deliveries in 2006-2010. The order will primarily affect AerotechTelub’s operations in Linköping, Sweden. The majority of production will take place in the Netherlands as part of a counter-trade agreement.

“This is the second contract from Hägglunds in a short space of time, and it represents a significant step in the companies’ long-term collaboration. The previous contract related to training systems for combat vehicle engineers, to be delivered to Switzerland,” says Lars-Erik Wige, President of AerotechTelub. “We have long experience of developing computer systems for difficult environments and have previously delivered systems for sea, air and land applications. This order is further proof of our strength in the field of vehicle computer systems, and is an important part of our continued development,” says Niclas Lövgren, head of marketing at AerotechTelub. Computer systems in vehicles in general, and in combat vehicles in particular, offer many advantages both for the user and the workshop. These latest systems enable control and management of command and vehicle systems. For users of the CV9035 NL this means access to detailed command information including video images, as well as information about the vehicle’s function. Everything is accessible on vehicle displays or as registered data.
