Saab Aviocomp and Alitalia Express sign Component Service Agreement for Embraer ERJ
Saab Aviocomp AB further strengthens its leading position as supplier of component service for the Embraer ERJ family of aircraft.
The agreement includes the entire component repair and overhaul services covered by the extensive capability of Saab Aviocomp and related engineering support. It covers the total ERJ145 fleet of Alitalia Express S.p.A., at present fourteen aircraft. “We are very pleased to develop our relationship with Alitalia Express through this agreement” says Christer Anderson, Sales Manager at Saab Aviocomp. “Our establishment of an in house capability for the ERJ, covering all airframe system components, has proved been very successful. We look forward to be of service to Alitalia Express and to continue to expand our business in the ERJ market”. Alitalia Express S.p.A., a fully owned subsidiary of Alitalia, currently operates a fleet of fourteen ERJ145, fifteen ATR42/72 and six Embraer 170 on a wide network, both domestic and international. Saab Aviocomp AB is active in the maintenance and repair of components for regional aircraft. Customers consist of a large number of airline companies around the world.
