Saab Training Systems awarded a contract worth SEK 88 million by the Austrian army
On 22 December, Saab Training Systems in Huskvarna, Sweden, signed a contract with the Austrian Army for instrumented mobile training systems. The order includes the highly mobile Gamer system and equipment for training in urban environments. The value of the order amounts to SEK 88 million.

The Austrian army has previously purchased simulation systems for tanks, anti-tank weapons and soldiers. The new system provides increased scope for analysis and evaluation of exercises, plus several types of participants, yielding greater training value. The instrumentation allows you to simulate artillery and minefields, etc. and follow the exercise in real time. The contract includes systems for tactical training incl. Gamer Manpack, equipment for training in urban environments, so-called MOUT, and simulators for protective masks. Equipment that facilitates interoperability with other simulator systems is included, to enable joint exercises with other nations.
