Updated: Saab receives logistic support order from France
Saab have received a logistic support order worth 10.5 million Euro for the French air force’s Giraffe AMB radars.
The order contains both depot and deployment spares as well as other support equipment. Deliveries will occur between 6-15 months from now. The coming deliveries also imply that the existing support agreement will enter into full force.
Six customers, including Sweden, France, Estonia and United Kingdom, have bought the 3D Giraffe AMB. Over the years several hundreds of Giraffes have been sold to more than 25 countries.
The latest improvements have turned the 3D Giraffe AMB into a true multi-mission surveillance system with for example simultaneous air defence, air and sea surveillance Military Air Traffic Control and Rocket, Artillery and Mortar (RAM) alert.
