Saab increases security in Prague's subway

Defence and security company Saab has received an order from Prague Transport Company (PTC) for upgrading the security system in Prague's subway. The order between Saab and its consortium partner AZD Praha and PTC amounts to MCZK 250 (approximately MSEK 96).

"With an increasingly complex and vulnerable transport environment, there is a growing need for solutions that can offer a higher level of safety and efficiency in the transport sector," says Gunilla Fransson, Head of business area Security and Defence Solutions within Saab. "This order means that Saab's systems and solutions will provide Prague's residents with a safer subway.”

“Saab gets within this contract a great possibility to design a fully integrated security solution for Prague's entire subway system, including the integration platform, closed-circuit surveillance, public information systems, intrusion protection, access control, fire protection and territorial protection,” explains Jindrich Springl, Head of Saab Czech s.r.o.
