Saab launches SAFE - new generation Safety and Security Management System
At the Skydd 2010 exhibition, Saab is presenting SAFE, the new generation Safety and Security Management System, to the market for the first time.
“We are very proud of our new SAFE system, which is already in use at several customer sites. We thought it was a great opportunity to exhibit our new generation of safety and security management system to all our other customers and collegues within the safety and security business at Skydd 2010,” says Lars Jernbäcker, Director Civil Security at Saab.
SAFE stands for Situational Awareness for Enhanced Security and is a flexible, scalable and robust Safety & Security Management system designed to provide enhanced situational awareness capabilities for Critical Infrastructure Protection and Emergency Response. Based on a powerful Command & Control system and a highly advanced Integration Platform, SAFE provide the ideal core for managing security and efficiency needs in daily operations.
Fulfils the needs
SAFE creates the conditions for a variable, adaptable and efficient business through configurable operating flows and business objects. SAFE's properties include automated flows to reduce administration, short times and reduced costs. These, combined with the fact that SAFE allows various customers to adapt the system to suit their needs, makes it highly competitive in the market.
Controls the bigger picture
SAFE addresses the entire operational chain, and since customers' operating processes change frequently, those changes are now less noticeable to customers than before thanks to SAFE's configurability.
“The seemingly endless flow of people and goods at an airport, the restricted environment of a prison, the hazardous and demanding missions of a fire brigade or a police force, or the complex logistics of a major sports event are all subject to extremely challenging demands concerning safety, security and efficiency. To confront such challenges, you need to control the bigger picture. SAFE is all about that,” says Håkan Rosén, Vice President Products & Systems, Security Solutions, within Saabs Defence and Security Solutions business area.
