Adele Hall Joins Saab Grintek Defence to Lead Transformation
Saab’s local South African defence and security company, Saab Grintek Defence has appointed Adele Hall as Vice President and Head of Transformation, who will be based at the local offices in Centurion.
Hall joins the company to build on its already extensive transformation programmes, driving skills development and transformation from an executive level through all areas of the company’s staff complement. She is supported by a Transformation Committee, including Saab Grintek Defence’s President and CEO Trevor Raman, as well as other executive members who drive specific elements of the Revised Codes of Good Practice.
“Saab Grintek Defence places a heavy emphasis on transformation through various initiatives, ranging from education bursaries and internships, to supporting members of the community as they work to improve the lives of those around them,” says Trevor Raman, head of Saab Grintek Defence. “Adele has an extensive background and deep experience in transformation initiatives, and we are pleased to welcome her to the Saab Grintek Defence executive team.”
With a degree and career foundation in accounting and auditing, Hall first entered the transformation arena when she became a facilitator and client partner at FranklinCovey South Africa, a business consulting firm. She became majority shareholder and executive director at the firm, before accepting the role of transformation director at UTi Africa.
Hall joins Saab Grintek Defence after providing transformation consulting services in her own business, having left UTi Africa in March 2015.
“I thrive on helping organisations comply with the revised Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Codes in a meaningful and deliberate way to bring about real transformation,” Hall says. “Every step in the right direction, no matter how small, is critical, as long as we keep our eye on the end goal, and continue to motivate people to support us on this journey.”
Hall is also non-executive director at Alcon Marepha (Pty) Ltd, Cape Gate Marepha (Pty) Ltd, The National Burn Association of South Africa, YeboYethu Limited, and No Ordinary Corporation, as well as being a Trustee of the South African Music Competition Trust.
