Saab and Joint Stock Company “Ukrainian Defense Industry” sign memorandum of understanding

Saab and the Joint Stock Company “Ukrainian Defense Industry” (JSC UDI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding their intention to collaborate in the areas of aviation and airborne surveillance, in which they have complementary expertise. The aim is to strengthen Ukraine’s defence capabilities.

The MoU was signed today at the Munich Security Conference 2026 in Germany. 

JSC UDI has a strong track record as a strategic manufacturer of weapons and military hardware. By consolidating state enterprises and companies, it has become an integral part of Ukraine’s security and defence sector. Saab will contribute its solid defence industry experience and leading expertise in aviation and airborne surveillance technology.
