Saab to deliver I-ATS to three airports in Bulgaria
Saab and BULATSA, the Bulgarian Air Traffic Services Authority, have signed a contract to enhance safety and operational efficiency at Sofia, Varna and Burgas airports through the deployment of Saab’s I-ATS solution.
Saab will deliver the latest version of its Integrated ATC Suite (I-ATS), a flexible and scalable platform that provides tower and approach controllers with a comprehensive set of tools for the safe and efficient management of air traffic.
The delivery will include Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and Control (A-SMGCS) for Sofia airport, an updated Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and support for the European Common Project One (CP1) requirements. Together, these enhancements will help future-proof BULATSA's air traffic control operations at Sofia, Varna, and Burgas airports for years to come.

BULATSA is the Bulgarian air navigation service provider, responsible for the safe and efficient management of air traffic within the country’s-controlled airspace.
