Video Distribution Systems

Our video solutions deliver low-latency, reliable digital video using widely adopted open standards. Designed as a distributed system with built-in redundancy, they maximize operational availability and reliability. Screen-sharing capabilities allow alternate operators to monitor or take control of ongoing operations when needed.

Key features

Ultra-low latency video
Reliable distribution
Day and night capacity

Situational awareness save lives

Situational awareness on the battlefield is essential to survive. Without a clear grasp of the tactical situation, a vehicles weapon systems and armour is irrelevant.

At least as important as the tactical situation is the safety of anyone moving in the vicinity of the vehicle. Be it war or peace, no driver ever wants to risk hurting his fellow servicemen while manoeuvring.

Our rugged camera systems enhances the situational awareness of the driver and adds a layer of security when operating vehicles with poor line of sights. The extremely low latency system makes it possible to drive in high speed and even darkness using IR.

Resilient, Distributed Architecture

To avoid single points of failure, the system does not rely on a centralized video processor. Each node has independent processing and control capabilities, ensuring that if one component fails, the remaining system continues to operate. This architecture provides robust performance and enhances resilience in mission-critical environments.

Standards-Based Interoperability

The solutions comply with Def Stan 00-82 and are NGVA-compatible, ensuring seamless interoperability across vehicle platforms and subsystems. H.264 compression enables efficient video exchange over limited bandwidth

High-Performance FPGA Integration and Flexible Sensor Integration
All functionality is integrated on an FPGA-based platform for maximum performance, efficiency, and minimal use of size, weight, and power (SWaP).

The system forms a digital video backbone, capable of distributing critical video from sensor to display. It supports Saab sensors as well as legacy systems, with conversion solutions for HD-SDI, analogue PAL/NTSC, or RS-170 inputs to digital Def Stan 00-82.

Vetronics in a Patria vehicle
Mounted soldiers may use the system to obtain visuals on what is happening outside and beyond the vehicle before deploying.

Role-Specific Workstations

Vehicle roles have distinct video needs: commanders require Local Situational Awareness System (LSAS) support, drivers need Driver Vision Enhancement (DVE), and gunners demand ultra-low-latency sight information for Remote Weapon Stations (RWS) or counter-UAS operations. Configurable features allow creation of optimized, role-specific workstations that maintain interoperability, security, and NGVA compliance.
