Your role

Are you a passionate AWS Cloud Engineer ready to make a significant impact? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic cloud team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in architecting, implementing, and managing our sophisticated AWS infrastructure. Leveraging your deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform and GitHub, you will take the lead in building and maintaining robust AWS Trusted Secure Enclaves (TSE) landing zones. Your work will ensure our cloud environment is not only highly secure and compliant but also optimized for exceptional performance and scalability, directly contributing to the security of our critical data assets.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities):

  • Architect and Deploy: Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available AWS infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring best practices in cloud architecture.
  • Build and Manage Secure Environments: Take ownership of building, maintaining, and enhancing AWS Trusted Secure Enclaves landing zones to guarantee secure and compliant cloud operations.
  • Champion Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce comprehensive security best practices and compliance controls (e.g., NIST, CIS, CSA and other relevant standards) across the entire cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate for Success: Partner closely with development, operations, and security teams to deliver integrated, seamless, and robust cloud solutions.
  • Lead and Mentor: Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and Innovate: Efficiently diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex cloud-related issues, proactively identifying areas for optimization and improvement.

Your profile

What You Bring (Requirements):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience designing, building, and managing complex AWS cloud services and environments.  
  • Expert-level knowledge of core AWS security services and features, including IAM, VPC, Security Groups, KMS, GuardDuty, etc.
  • Advanced proficiency and proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning, automation, and management.
  • Solid experience utilizing GitHub for version control, CI/CD integration, and collaborative development practices.
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience with AWS Trusted Secure Enclaves and designing secure landing zone architectures.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles, threat modeling, and industry compliance standards.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.  

Bonus Points (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, AWS Certified Security - Specialty).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline development and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline etc.).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
  • Experience with other scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash).

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply
