As a Business Development Director, you will drive Saab’s marketing and business development activities while playing a key role in shaping the company’s long-term growth and market position in Poland.Your primary focus will be on selected naval and joint-domain solutions. The role includes identifying and pursuing multiple business opportunities with further support of implementation programmes. You will be committed to delivering high quality results and meeting deadlines in a fast-moving market where decisions are followed by prompt actions.
This role is based at Saab Technologies Poland’s office in Gdynia. Frequent domestic travel across Poland and regular international trips, mainly within Europe is required.
Fluent Polish language is required for this position. As English is Saab’s corporate language, a high level of English proficiency is essential.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement marketing and business development strategies for Saab’s product portfolio in Poland with focus on naval and joint-domain solutions,
Secure order intake in accordance with established business target,
Identify and qualify new business opportunities and potential industrial partners,
Participate in defence procurement process,
Consistent interaction with customers, industry partners and other stakeholders on a daily/weekly basis,
Collaborate closely with project execution teams and actively support in-country delivery activities,
Participate in regional defence events, trade shows and lead product demonstrations,
Act in accordance with company policies and contribute to additional business initiatives.
Your Profile:
University degree, military education or other relevant advanced qualifications,
Comprehensive technical system-of-systems knowledge in the military naval domain, including joint capabilities,
Proven experience in marketing and business development in the Polish defence market,
Strong understanding of the Polish defence landscape, market environment and procurement process,
Good understanding of Government-to-Government, Business-to-Government and Business-to-Business processes,
Experience in building and maintaining successful partnerships with international and domestic industry actors,
Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills,
Strong business acumen, project management capabilities and high personal integrity,
Ability to coordinate complex issues and prioritize tasks,
Well-developed social skills to build up and maintain interpersonal, business partner and customer relations.
As a Personnel Security Clearance is required for this position, applicants shall already hold one or be eligible to obtain it.
