Within the organisation of the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for Gripen, we are looking for an experienced professional to take responsibility for international Gripen campaigns. In this role, you will lead a dynamic team, with the objective of securing the Gripen E/F program.
Your role
You will join the Gripen CMO team, a group of experienced marketing and sales professionals with backgrounds spanning program and product management, operational air-force officers, and business professionals. The team’s focus is to run and secure Gripen sales campaigns in the global market.
As a Gripen Campaign Director, you will have a broad scope and a central role in a complex, international environment, working closely with a wide range of stakeholders. A key aspect of the role is the importance of being able to engage and address stakeholders at all levels. This includes armed forces personnel, media representatives, partner companies, and political decision-makers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the campaign in line with objectives set by Saab management and the CMO organisation.
- Develop campaign capture strategies and translate them into clear, comprehensive plans covering objectives, target audiences, approaches, tactics, budgets, and timelines.
- Leading the campaign team in a structured and effective way, guided by values and leadership principles.
- Following market developments, including trends, shifts in customer behaviour, and competitor activity, and adapting the campaign accordingly.
- Monitor performance and assess the impact of marketing and sales activities, adjusting as needed to improve outcomes.
You will report to the CMO Gripen and will initially be based in Linköping or at another relevant Saab site in Sweden. In the future, the position will be located in the campaign country.
International travel will be required on a regular basis.
Your profile
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a marketing or sales role, or a similar position in the Armed Forces. Preferably within the aerospace, defense or related industries.
- You need a genuine interest in developing and understanding customer insights.
- Proven leadership skills leading a diverse team of professionals.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with customers, diverse teams and stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of marketing and sales strategies and tools.
- A proven track record of delivering successful marketing and sales campaigns and achieving business goals.
- Fluent in English, both verbal and in writing.
