Saab’s business area Dynamics is looking for a visionary Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead our global information and technology landscape. This role requires strategic oversight of the entire information and IT ecosystem, from digital transformation and data governance to enterprise systems. The CIO will be tasked with consolidating and executing on business demand, driving innovation, ensuring robust and compliant information and data management and aligning IT initiatives with business objectives on a global scale.

In this critical role, you will be accountable to:
- Contribute to Saab Group IT Strategy and develop Dynamics IT Strategy.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive information and IT plan aligned with our ambitious business goals, ensuring our IT capabilities and governance support our rapid growth and innovation.
- Participate and develop strategies, framework, policies and processes for information & data management in close cooperation with other stakeholders within Saab.
- Act as the primary liaison between business leadership and the Group CIO and Group Head of Information & Data management.
- Lead and inspire a high-performing IT and Information & Data Management team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee all aspects of IT, including business demand and delivery, compliance, data and application management.
- Ensure the security and integrity of our critical data assets.
- Collaborate closely with business leadership to align IT and Information & Data management initiatives with overall business strategy across the organization.
- Ensure efficient and resilient IT operations globally, supporting day-to-day business functions, and optimizing cost structures
- Effectively collaborate with Saab Group IT and Group Information & Data management towards the common goal of supporting our profitable business growth.
The BA Chief Information Officer reports directly to the BA Head of Business Support and functionally to Saab Group CIO and Saab Group Head of Information & Data management.

To fit in this role, you must be a highly motivated, experienced and communicative leader. You demonstrate strategic height, meaning you can connect the overall business plan objectives to challenges in the short to medium term. Collaboration and compliance are key standards for you. You have a proven track record as senior manager in the digital domain, expressing integrity in your position while being a true leader.
Required skills:
- Proven experience as a CIO or similar management role in an internationally regulated context.
- Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate technical and subject matter experts as well as effectively managing stakeholders across the business.
- Advanced degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
What you will be part of
The Chief Information Officer is part of the BA Business Support at Business Area Dynamics, reporting directly to the BA Head of Business Support and functionally to Saab Group CIO and Saab Group Head of Information & Data management.
Primary location can be any of our major sites, preferably Karlskoga or Linköping but other sites such as Solna, Huskvarna/Jönköping etc is also possible locations.
