Saab is in search of motivated, enthusiastic business/economics/law/finance student(s) who would be interested in putting their studies to real-work practice through a Co-op/Intern opportunity at our location in East Syracuse, NY.
There are 2 assignments, one for the 2023 Spring semester (January - April, part-time) and one for the 2023 Summer (June - August, full-time).
In addition to a competitive hourly rate, Saab Inc. offers a sign-on bonus to off-set housing expenses for Co-ops residing outside the typical office commuting distance.
As part of the Contracts function, you will be working with our Contracts Professionals to support the provision of products and services to our US Government customers.
Responsibilities and learning opportunities include:
Contracts database management
Pre-contract risk analysis
Assist with the administration of government, commercial and international contracts
Participating in reviews and status meetings
Presentation and team-building
Skills and Experience:
Attention to detail
The ability to prepare, organize and maintain contract records and files
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Experience working in Oracle, IFS, SharePoint, JIRA or similar systems
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Good written and verbal communication skills
Enrollment in an accredited degree program with a major in Business, Law, or related discipline
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
Must have completed Sophomore year or greater
Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
