Saab is seeking motivated, enthusiastic students in business, economics, law, or finance who are interested in applying their studies to practical work through a Co-Op/Internship at our East Syracuse, NY location.

This assignment will take place during the Winter/Spring 2026 term (January through early May, part-time) and the Summer 2026 term (May through early August, full-time).

As part of the Contracts/Legal function, you will work alongside our Contracts Professionals to support the delivery of products and services to our U.S. Government customers.

Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities include:

  • Contracts database management.

  • Pre-contract risk analysis.

  • Assist with the administration of government, commercial and international contracts.

  • Participating in reviews and status meetings.

  • Contracts closeout.

  • Presentation and team-building activities.

Compensation Range: $18 - $20/hour


In addition to a competitive hourly rate, Saab Inc. provides a sign-on bonus to help offset housing expenses for Co-Ops who live outside the typical office commuting distance.

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

Required Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to prepare, organize, and maintain contract records and files.

  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Oracle, IFS, SharePoint, JIRA, or similar systems.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skill.

Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in an accredited degree program with a major in Business, Law, or a related discipline.

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

  • Completion of sophomore year or higher.

Citizenship Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
