Job Description:
Saab’s Corporate Affairs team is seeking a motivated International Affairs Co-Op/Intern to develop their skills and gain hands-on experience in a professional setting. This is a three day a week (24 hours/week), paid internship based in Saab’s Washington, D.C. office for Summer 2026 (May - August).
As an International Affairs Co-Op/Intern for Saab, you will:
Gain experience supporting the cross-functional team within Corporate Affairs.
Complete special projects and perform ad hoc reporting and analysis.
Gain insight into how geopolitical matters impact the defense industry.
Gain insight into how legislation and regulations impact the defense industry.
Prepare, and have the opportunity to present, reports to internal stakeholders.
Receive clear expectations, constructive feedback, and structured guidance throughout the internship.
Compensation Range: $18.00 - $20.00/hour
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
Skills and Experience:
Required Qualifications:
BS in International Relations, Political Science, or equivalent.
Proactive, organized, and analytical with high attention to detail.
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
Prior experience working in a government, legislative, or political office is preferred.
