Job Description:

Saab, Inc. is seeking one motivated and enthusiastic Mechanical Engineering student interested in applying their academic knowledge to real-world product development through a paid Co-Op/Internship opportunity for Spring (January - April) and Summer (May - August) 2026.
Mechanical Engineering Co-Ops will:
Actively contribute to the hardware development of Training and Simulation.
Work alongside senior mechanical engineers to design and develop models and drawings for various training and support equipment.
Assist in developing tools, fixtures, and prototype components.
Participate in internal technical meetings and design reviews.
Collaborate with the mechanical lead on task planning and scheduling of assigned activities.
Compensation Range: $20 - $22/hour
In addition to a competitive hourly rate, Saab Inc. provides a sign-on bonus to help offset housing expenses for Co-Ops who live outside the typical office commuting distance.
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
Skills and Experience:
Required Qualifications:
Enrollment in an accredited degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Completion of Sophomore year or above.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Hands-on experience with additive and subtractive manufacturing.
Basic understanding of electronics concepts.
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
Prior Co-Op or internship experience preferred, but not required.
Citizenship Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
