Your role
At Saab, we’re not just building aircraft—we’re redefining the future of security. As Contract Manager for the Gripen program, you will take the lead in one of the world’s most advanced fighter aircraft projects.
We are now seeking colleagues to work with our current and future Gripen Contracts.
The contractual scopes encompass development, delivery of aircraft and other equipment, and operational support—from initial scope definition to the handover of Gripen systems. Leading a cross-functional team of technical, legal, and commercial specialists, you will ensure successful contract execution while building lasting relationships with both our customers and internal stakeholders.
Your contribution will contribute in a major way to the success of the Gripen program—a cornerstone in Saab’s global defense capabilities and a critical element of national security for our partner nations.
Key responsibilities include:
· Lead and manage the full contract lifecycle for the Gripen fighter aircraft
· Oversee budget, schedule, scope, risk, and stakeholder engagement
· Negotiate directly with the customer and manage high-level relationships
· Work closely with engineering teams to align customer needs with technical feasibility
· Represent Saab—building trust and collaboration
Your profile
· You thrive in collaborative environments and excel at motivating others
· Proven leadership in complex, high-stakes projects
· Strong business acumen and financial understanding
· Broad technical knowledge of the Gripen system (or similar aerospace/defense platforms)
· Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English (spoken & written)
· Confidence in presenting to senior stakeholders in English
· Experience in contract management and/or senior leadership is highly valued
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
