The opportunity
Saab Australia is an industry participant in the Combat Systems Integration – Integrated Project Team (CSI-IPT). The CSI-IPT forms a collaborative enterprise organisation to execute scopes of work across Hobart Class Destroyer (SEA4000 Phase 6 and other related Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) upgrades) and the Hunter Class Frigates (HCFs - SEA5000 Phase 1). This will see independently executed programs such as SEA4000 Phase 6 and SEA5000 Phase 1 brought under one umbrella enterprise organisation, the CSI-IPT.
The CSI-IPT will be built up with personnel from three industry participants and the Commonwealth of Australia (CoA) to form a collaborative team working across multiple programs to leverage synergies between platforms.
The role
As part of our Naval Combat Systems group, the CSI-IPT Senior Management Accountant (12 months fixed term) will work closely with the CSI-IPT participants to deliver consolidated financial requirements of the CSI-IPT, whilst also providing valuable financial insights to the CSI-IPT at an Enterprise level.
The Senior Management Accountant role will also support mobilisation activities including process and reporting set up, and governance across all participants within the CSI-IPT.
Further, the successful candidate will:
- Provide Finance SME support for Tasking Statements (Bids) and CCPs – Cashflow, TCE modelling and analysis (Bid artefact development)
- Offer Finance SME support to Bid Managers, Program Managers and Project Managers for Tasking Statements (Bids) and CCPs
- Deliver Pricing support for BOE development [artefact development] and GTR/Pricing reviews
- Oversee and review Contract Change Proposal’s (CCP’s) and Sub-contract Change Proposal’s (SCP’s) pricing
- Support CoA queries for Bids and CCPs - Key CSI-IPT Finance POC for CoA Commercial & Finance
- Provide ad-hoc assistance and analysis to the Finance Lead CSI-IPT as required
Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office, 9-day fortnight will be considered for this role.
About you
Your education, skills and experience will include:
- Degree qualified, CA or CPA qualified
- Ability to interact effectively with colleagues within and outside their immediate team, to implement business requirements
- Well-developed self-management skills and demonstrated ability to work under their own initiative to deliver outputs to time and quality
- Ability to use good written and verbal communication skills is important to this role
- High literacy and numeracy skills
- Advanced MS Office skills, especially in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and Australian International
- Framework of Reporting Standards (AIFRS)
- Exposure to Oracle ERP or similar desirable
As a defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants will be required to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to baseline or NV1 level or have the ability to gain one.
