The role
The Digital and Employee Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing an effective digital communications strategy, and fostering effective communication within Saab Australia. Developing and implementing communication strategies that engage and inform target external audiences and employees, ensuring they are well-informed about Saab’s capabilities, company news, initiatives, and key messages. We are seeking a skilled communicator with a strategic mindset, capable of creating compelling content and utilising various channels to increase awareness of Saab and support business objectives.
Further, the successful candidate will:
- Support the Head of Strategic Communications and Marketing to develop an annual communications plan to support Saab Australia’s strategy, priorities, and values.
- Lead the development of digital communications strategies to deliver identified communication objectives.
- Partner with leaders of Saab’s business lines and members of the Strategic Communications and Marketing Team to provide expert digital communications advice and support tactical delivery.
- Partner with internal functions to deliver and execute integrated internal communication plans that inform and inspire our employees.
Lead the development of compelling content for use on earned and owned digital channels - Craft engaging content across multiple communication channels to foster a culture of engagement, inclusion, and collaboration.
- Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement through effective communication.
- Design and manage measurement and reporting mechanisms for Saab’s owned digital channels to assess the effectiveness of communication activities
- Design and execute employee feedback mechanisms to continuously refine internal communication strategies, and identifying areas for enhancement.
About you
Your skills and experience will include:
- Demonstrated experience developing digital communication strategies and campaigns
- Proven experience in a similar communications role, showcasing hands-on ability to develop and execute successful communication strategies.
- Highly developed stakeholder management skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior business leaders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft clear, compelling, and audience-appropriate messages across various communication channels
- Proven capabilities in managing competing priorities effectively, working autonomously and consistently meeting deadlines
- Strong capability to quickly comprehend and interconnect concepts and ideas, showcasing an ability to transform them into effective communication delivery strategies that are highly impactful.
- Experience using content management platforms and analytic tools
- Australian citizen or able to meet citizen eligibility requirements to comply with Defence Industry security requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related field.
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants will be required to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to Baseline level or have the ability to gain one.
