We are now looking for a Digital Strategy Lead to join the Digital Strategy & Acceleration team within Group Digitalisation.
Your role
As Digital Strategy Lead, you will take responsibility for structuring, and driving the development of Saab’s group-wide digital strategy. Your role is pivotal in navigating strategic choices on how to best accelerate the software transformation across a complex and diverse product portfolio.
You will lead the work of framing strategic questions, select optimal data collection and assessment methods, do advanced modelling and analysis , define the option space, guide decision making and align strategic direction with key stakeholders across functions and business areas.
You will engage on a broad set of strategic topics related to differentiating Saab’s product portfolio through software and AI, e.g business model re-design, prioritization of software/AI acceleration investments and architectural direction setting You will steer strategy-related assets and documentation, ensuring simplicity in communication and strong anchoring throughout the organisation.
In this role, you lead cross-functional strategy projects end-to-end — from defining scope and structure, through execution and stakeholder alignment, to successful closure. You will work closely with a dedicated team focused on continuously developing Saab’s digital strategy and supporting its implementation to secure the right direction, pace, and coordination across multiple initiatives.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a proven quantitative and qualitative problem solving and ability to lead cross-functional teams to develop strategies anchored in business logic and backed by data. You communicate clearly and convincingly, with a talent for overcoming complexity and get to clarity. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and change, bringing the resilience and pragmatism needed to move initiatives forward. You approach challenges collaboratively and keeps the business impact in focus.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years experience from leading digital strategy development.
- Background from a Strategy & Transformation function in a digitally mature industrial company with high autonomy in its Business Areas, or from a leading management consultancy serving such companies.
- Demonstrated success in driving digital strategy and transformation, with proven impact and tangible results.
- Industry experience in engineered products and/or the defence sector is highly desirable.
- Strong ability to define and evolve wide digital strategies that drive customer value through transformation across a complex and diverse product portfolio.
- Experience in building strategic roadmaps, shaping business models and identifying value creation levers, and translating them into actionable initiatives.
- Skilled at identifying and unlocking cross-business synergies, platforms, and enablers (tech stacks, data, modular architectures, etc.).
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
