Electrical Engineer

Job Description:

Saab Inc., Autonomous and Undersea Systems division is seeking innovative Electrical Engineers to contribute to technical teams in capturing, understanding, and implementing product design requirements for autonomous Unmanned Surface/Underwater Vehicles (aUSVs/aUUVs, AUVs) and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). This position will sit in our Quincy, MA facility.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Work in electrical CAD tools to read, edit, modify schematics

    • Work in electrical CAD tools to read, edit, modify layouts and routing

    • Work with DC/DC Conversion

    • Work with battery based systems

    • Work in circuit simulators such as SPICE or MATLAB to analyze and troubleshoot electrical circuits

    • Operate oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMM's

    • Work with bench top power supplies, DC loads, and other lab equipment

    • Understand fundamental circuit design and analysis

    • Hands-on troubleshooting and test

    • Execute test plans and write test reports

    • Generate initial drafts of design documents
       

    Compensation Range: $91,000-$113,800

    The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

    Skills and Experience:

    Position Requirements:

    • BA/BS degree in an engineering discipline or related discipline 

    • 3+ years' experience

    OR

    • MA/MS degree in an engineering discipline or related discipline 

    • 1+ years' experience

    Experience with Altium and Matlab a plus, but not required.

    Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
