FACILITIES OFFICER
The role
The Facilities Officer will support the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the organisation’s physical infrastructure. Assist in ensuring the safe, functional and efficient operation of all facilities, equipment and systems to provide a comfortable and productive environment
Further, the successful candidate will:
- Assist the Senior Facilities Manager with Facilities tasks including but not limited to:
- Undertaking maintenance activities
- Performing escorting duties
- Ensuring compliance of contractor works including inductions, work permits, WHS obligations and Job Safety Analysis / Safe Work Method Statements
- Liaising with internal stakeholders
- Responding to facility-related requests and issues promptly and efficiently
- Providing after-hours access
- Providing general administrative support to the facilities team; and
- Participating in facilities improvement projects as directed
- Participate on the Facilities on-call roster as required.
- Comply with legislation and Company policies, processes and instructions, including those relating to non-discrimination, Health & safety, Bullying, Harassment, Violence and Aggression, and duty of care and the quality management system.
- Treat everyone with respect, communicate regularly and openly with my manager and team, and ensure all my decisions are made with fairness in mind.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
About you
Your skills and experience will include:
- 1-2 years’ experience in Property/Facilities management is desirable but not essential
- An understanding of Building Management Systems & asset and maintenance management systems (desirable)
- An ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated ethical, honest, and trustworthy behavior
- Willingness to actively contribute to the development of a positive workplace culture and demonstrate behaviors that reflect company values
- Currently undertaking or recently completed a Diploma or Certificate in Facilities Management or a related field (desirable)
- Valid driver’s license (desirable)
- Working at heights certification (desirable)
- Permit issuer certification (desirable)
A defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants will be required to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to baseline/NV1/NV2 level or have the ability to gain one
This is a 2-year Full time contract and we are flexible to look at applications for part time or full-time.
