In this position you will be located in the manufacturing unit in Jhajjar.

As a Facility Operations, you will play an important role in developing departmental policies and procedures for assigned areas of responsibility, establishing priorities for scheduled mechanical and electrical services.  You will be responsible to maintain a safe campus environment ensuring all fire protection systems such as fire panels, smoke/heat detectors, sprinkler systems, and pumps are maintained in accordance with the applicable National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) standard and ensure all emergency generator/power systems are properly maintained and operational at all times.

In this role, you are responsible to ensure all energy management systems (including utility meters) such as network control modules (NCMs), Network integration engines (NIEs), network automation engines (Nes) and associated devices are maintained in accordance with the applicable standards and that all systems are always operational.

You will be responsible to handle and manager of Solar Electricity, Electric Vehicles for plant operations, Material Handling Equipment’s, and MEP systems (HT/LT, HVAC, Water, Fire systems) etc.

Key responsibilities include: -

  • Managing, maintaining, and establishing maintenance procedures for production lines to ensure production meets and performs better than budgeted efficiency.
  • Developing and maintaining quality standards.
  • Ensure the utility, Annual Maintenance Contract and preventive maintenance of all the machines including air conditioning, Genset, water treatment plant and electrical equipment’s etc.  to ensure smooth production.
  • Maintains manufacturing assets and facility, machine consumables, monitoring purchase orders, invoice approvals, and manages the department budget.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for operator maintenance.
  • Maintains effective management and control of ANDON system in the Plant Operations
  • Provides training and continuous development for all maintenance personnel.
  • Develop associate and supervisor skills by conducting training meetings; one on one development sessions; outside technical skills training; and establishing and monitoring performance reviews for supervisors.
  • Performs and Verifies Performance Evaluations on direct reports at least twice a year.

Your profile

We are looking for a structured and responsible person who enjoys working in a dynamic environment to join our team as an Facility operations Manager. The ideal candidate will oversee the training and continuous development of all maintenance personnel, including conducting training meetings, one-on-one development sessions, and performance reviews for supervisors, which should be performed and verified at least twice a year.

The candidate should be results-driven Facility Operations Manager with extensive experience in managing building operations, maintenance programs, vendor contracts, safety compliance, and workplace services from Defence , Precision Engineering or from European Manufacturing company background. Skilled in overseeing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, housekeeping, security, and infrastructure systems to ensure uninterrupted facility performance.

The candidates should be familiar with European & Indian Electricity Regulations & Guidelines along with excellent knowledge of European Machine Directives.

The candidate should possess proven ability to optimize operational efficiency, control costs, implement preventive maintenance strategies, and maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Strong leadership capabilities in managing cross-functional teams, coordinating contractors, and delivering high-quality facility services that support organizational objectives. Adept at budget management, asset lifecycle planning, risk mitigation, and fostering safe, productive, and sustainable work environments.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Graduate Engineer in Electrical / Electronic Engineering from a reputed institute.
  • 10–15 years of experience in a precision engineering manufacturing in Defence, Chemical or Heavy Industry environment, preferably within a European manufacturing facility, including a minimum of 3 years of independent responsibility as a Maintenance Manager in a mid-sized factory.
  • Fluent in written and spoken Hindi and English. Ability to communicate effectively with workforce
  • Excellent knowledge of SCADA System & PLC programming and trouble shooting.
  • Knowledge of use of software to schedule the maintenance.
  • Knowledge of European standards i.e. EN50110, EN60204-1, EN-61439, EN60364, EN50699, EN50522.
  • Knowledge of European machine directives i.e. low voltage directives 2014/35/EU, machine directive 2006/42/EC, work equipment directives 20009/104/EC and comparable Indian standards.
  • Hands-on experience of maintaining shop floor machines and utility equipment.
  • Self-motivated, results orientated and excellent personal skills
  • Problem solving skills to diagnose the problems in machines.
  • Preparing preventive and pro-active maintenance schedules
  • Maintaining clean and safe working environment.
  • Liaising with authorities like Electricity Board, Water Supply, waste material disposal etc. 
  • Knowledge of applicable health & Safety regulations
  • Factory Act compliance
  • Fire safety standards (NBC India)
  • Central Electricity Authority (CEA) regulations

We also expect that you will follow all the security processes and have a deep safety awareness and follow the company rules regarding these areas.

The position requires that you undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations and undergo a security vetting.
