We are now looking for a Future Business Model Lead to join the Digital Strategy & Acceleration team within Group Digitalisation and help shape new business models across Saab. Ready to get involved? Your role
You will be part of a team operating at the group level across the full product portfolio at Saab, to further the development of Saab's overarching digital strategy, supporting its execution to ensure the necessary direction, pace, and coordination across various initiatives and teams.
You will drive and support a range of transformation activities all initiated to accelerate Saab’s journey towards becoming software defined across the product portfolio. You will specifically drive the work of testing and evolving new business models together with selected Business Units and support relevant Group Functions in shaping their journeys to enable adoption of such models at scale. You will also interface with Saab’s customers as part of co-creating and implementing new business models.
The work will include leading a senior cross-Saab team at the group level to evolve the business model and share learnings broadly in Saab in effective ways. It will also include shaping and overseeing transformation activities required in Group Functions (e.g. Sales, Finance, Legal) to accelerate and scale adoption and thus impact of the new business models.
Your profile
We’re looking for someone with the ability to engage confidently across leadership, engineering, product and commercial teams. You know how to build and maintain alignment across dispersed stakeholders, managing complexity without losing clarity or momentum. Your written and verbal communication is excellent, particularly in settings involving executive-level steering groups. With a structured, systems-oriented mindset and a pragmatic approach to prioritisation, you bring focus and direction where it’s most needed. You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity and skilled at leading through influence in a matrixed environment.
Requirements:
- At least 8 years of experience, including a minimum of 4 years driving digital transformation including business model transformation - either within a digitally mature industrial company with autonomous Business Areas, or as a consultant serving such organisations.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing and evolving business models to enable continuous value delivery (e.g. subscription based models, SaaS and PaaS models).
- Industry experience in engineered products and/or the defense sector is highly desirable.
- Strong ability to architect and align transformation roadmaps that tie into the overarching company strategy with a software-enabled product portfolio.
- Skilled in workshop facilitation and managing cross-functional teams towards common objectives with clear outcomes.
- Adept at identifying capability gaps, prioritisation logic, and transformation governance models.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
