Your role
In this position you will work on both a strategic and operational level, communicating on capabilities, offers and technological solutions important for our society. Kockums business area includes products such as submarines, surface ships and combat boats and underwater systemsYou are responsible for shaping and driving internal and external communication within this area, supporting change and development initiatives, campaigns etc. You will also be responsible for implementing group wide communication initiatives and ensure compliance to global communication guidelines.
You will be a part of the management team within Kockums and the Communication Management Team for Saab AB. You will report to Head of Kockums operationally and to Saab's Head of Group Communication functionally. This means that you are expected to cooperate closely with other departments within Saab.
You will work closely with managers on all levels and in different parts of the organisation around the world. Kockums has operations and customers mainly in Sweden but also all over the globe.
An important task for you will be to describe and package our offer for the quickly changing global market.
Your responsibilities will, amongst other things, include:
- developing communication plans and ensure activities within all disciplines to various stakeholder groups
- developing messages about Kockums business offers, marketing communication
- drive events and VIP-engagements
- crisis communication management
- brand strategy implementation
- supporting the Head of Kockums with internal and external communication
- drive internal communication and take an active part in change management
- developing managers and leaders' ability to communicate
- developing a team of ap. 6 persons within your team, including budgetary and personnel responsibility
Your profile

You are familiar with the concept of communicative leadership and have great command of tools and methods that can be used to strengthen the communication skills of executives and managers. You also have experience of change management, a good financial understanding and interest in the business and products. As a leader you are humble and have experience of managing, developing and motivating people in a global matrix organisation. You are an excellent communicator in English as well as Swedish, as well as having a strong ability to establish good relationships both externally and internally. You have the skills required to adapt your speed to the prevailing circumstances.
You have an interest in technology and appreciate the challenge to communicate high tech products to a broad base of stakeholders. You have successfully conducted external and internal communication work – both on strategic and operational levels. You know how to package complex issues with tailored messages to a broad range of stakeholders. This means that you are analytic and able to understand driving factors for both our business and our customer’s needs.
We believe that you have a relevant university education or equivalent, experience of similar senior positions, preferably within an international company.
Location: Karlskrona or Malmö
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
