Your role
The Head of Functional Control is a critical finance leadership role within Surveillance, responsible for ensuring financial integrity, transparency and performance across operational costs, projects and assets.
Acting as a trusted business partner, this role bridges financial control and operational decision-making, transforming financial data into meaningful insights that support informed decisions and business performance. The role also plays an important part in advancing the digital development of the finance function, identifying opportunities to improve ways of working, enhance efficiency and leverage data and technology to support business performance.
In this role, you will report directly to the CFO of Surveillance and be part of the Surveillance Finance Management Team. You will lead a team of approximately 12 specialists and work closely with Finance and Management across Surveillance, while collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders across the Saab Group on Functional Control matters.
The team is located across Stockholm and Gothenburg, and travel between the sites is therefore a natural part of the role.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing the Functional Control function.
- Advancing the digitalisation agenda across the functional cost base, with a focus on efficiency and improved business insight.
- Developing and enhancing financial processes, routines and systems.
- Connecting operational activities to the cost base to strengthen transparency, understanding and decision support.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance organisation.
- Facilitate financial planning through forecasts, budgets and business plans.
- Ensuring high-quality reporting and analysis of financial information across Surveillance.
- Acting as a business partner to the Surveillance organisation on matters relating to operational costs, projects and assets.
- Collaborating closely with Functional Control teams across the Saab Group and contributing to the ongoing development of processes, systems and control within the finance area.

Your profile
We believe you bring strong business understanding and strategic awareness, supported by a relevant academic degree and experience in financial planning, analysis, budgeting and reporting. Experience relating to line operational costs, projects and asset management is considered an advantage.
We are looking for someone with experience in business control and a proven ability to lead digital development within a finance organisation. You are motivated by improving processes and finding smarter ways of working, and you are curious about how technology, data and new approaches can create value for the business. Experience of driving change, digital transformation or automation initiatives within a finance environment is highly valued.
You value honesty, integrity and fairness, and combine analytical thinking with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach.
Strong communication skills in both English and Swedish, written and spoken, are essential. You collaborate effectively with others, build trust across functions and levels, and foster strong working relationships. You lead with empathy, sound judgement and a willingness to support colleagues and teams when needed.
