Your role
As Head of HQ Systems, you will lead Saab’s delivery and operational performance for headquarters systems, with primary focus on OPCIS-based solutions across the C5ISR/C6ISR portfolio. You hold end-to-end responsibility for contracts, people, financial outcomes, and customer relationships across ongoing engagements. You act as the bridge between customer expectations, operational realities, and Saab’s delivery capability, ensuring that HQ systems directly support command, planning, and execution in multi-domain operations.
As a senior Saab representative, you build long-term, trust-based relationships with senior military stakeholders. You also lead and grow a multidisciplinary organisation across program leadership, engineering, training, and support, securing the competencies needed for the next decade of HQ capability.
Your profile
We are looking for a leader who combines sharp operational instincts with the ability to lead complex programs and the people behind them. You speak the customer’s language, often because you have stood in their shoes, and you turn operational needs into structured, deliverable capabilities. Trust and long-term relationships are at the core of how you work.
We believe you have:
- Solid background from higher operational levels, ideally OPL or service branch staff positions
- Deep understanding of HQ systems, command and control, and operational planning processes
- Proven experience leading large-scale, mission-critical programs with full responsibility for contracts, delivery, and financial outcomes
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams and senior specialists
- Experience in customer-facing roles with senior military stakeholders and long-term engagement management
- Master’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent operational and military education
Beneficial Qualifications:
- Advanced staff training or operational command experience
- Strong understanding of system-of-systems integration within C5ISR/C6ISR environment
The position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around security protection. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, where applicable, entail requirements regarding specific citizenship.
