Your Role
This is a new leadership role with significant organisational influence. You will be responsible for developing and leading our product management function while helping shape how we evolve from a historically project-oriented organisation into a scalable, product-focused software company delivering large-scale, real-time, safety-critical systems to customers worldwide. You will report to the Head of Business & Portfolio, ensuring close alignment between business strategy, market needs, product strategy, and product investment decisions.
You will lead a growing, multidisciplinary organisation consisting of Product Managers, Product Systems Engineers, and System Engineering Support staff / Technical Writers.
A key responsibility of the role is establishing Product Management as the consolidated driver of product scope and development priorities. Product Management will gather and balance inputs from Marketing & Sales, customer projects, operational stakeholders, and business strategy while owning product direction, prioritisation, and roadmap decisions.
Your organisation will play a central role in:
- Defining and maintaining product roadmaps
- Driving prioritisation of product development activities
- Supporting business planning through product investment strategies
- Balancing customer-specific demands with long-term product direction
- Communicating product strategy clearly across the organisation
- Creating effective stakeholder feedback loops
- Supporting the company’s transition towards product-driven ways of working
The role combines operational leadership with strategic influence and requires close collaboration across business, engineering, project execution, and customer-facing functions.
The role can be based in Göteborg (Sweden), Växjö (Sweden), or Apeldoorn (Netherlands). Travel between our locations in Sweden and the Netherlands is expected approximately every 1–2 months.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with experience from organisations developing complex, software-intensive products within regulated or mission-critical domains. As a leader, you are collaborative, structured, and comfortable operating in complex technical and organisational environments.
Required experience:
- Experience leading product management, systems engineering, or product engineering teams in air traffic management or similar domain
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and roadmap ownership in a safety critical and/or regulated industry
- Experience balancing strategic product direction with operational and customer demands
- Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities
- The ability to align technical, commercial, and operational perspectives
- Fluent in English, written and spoken
Experience contributing to a transition from a project-driven organisation towards a product-focused operating model is highly valued.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
