Your role
Lead the charge in shaping the future of coastal & air defense. As Head of Coastal & Air Defense, you will own one of our most critical growth domains – delivering integrated solutions for counter-UAS, air defense, and coastal protection. This is a senior leadership role with P&L ownership, customer visibility, and the mandate to drive capability development in one of the fastest-evolving mission areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shape and deliver C-UAS solutions – integrate sensors, effectors, C2, and soft/hard-kill options into scalable, platform-first architectures
- Oversee program delivery for active contracts, ensuring targets for schedule, budget, quality, and gross margin are met.
- Customer point of contact for coastal & air defense missions, fostering trusted relationships.
- Drive domain capability development – working closely with core development to introduce next-generation technologies
- Build, lead, develop and scale a high-performing team with the right competences for today and tomorrow.
- Own the unit’s budget, forecasts, and financial performance.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and represent the unit across Saab and the defense sector
Your Profile

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:
- Proven leadership in multi-disciplinary teams delivering complex defense systems (C4I preferred).
- Familiarity with counter-UAS technologies and evolving operational requirements
- Experience managing P&L, budgets, and large-scale program delivery.
- Strong operational focus with financial accountability.
- Excellent communicator and stakeholder manager (Swedish & English).
- Skilled in people leadership, resource planning, and competence development.
- A keen interest in learning new things and adapting to different environments and cultures.
- Experience managing product roadmaps and portfolio governance.
