Your role
We are looking for a Head of our new Profit Unit Fire Control System. As Head of PU Fire Control System, you will be responsible for the part of the Naval Combat System that handles the time-critical systems that detect threats and ensure they are effectively managed. Leading a Profit Unit at Saab includes full responsibility for ensuring sustainable customer value through strategy and portfolio management, product innovation, production, and the aftermarket business.
As Head of PU Fire Control System, you will lead a management team consisting of representatives from Marketing & Sales, Development, Sourcing, Production, and other key functions, supporting you in achieving both short- and long-term targets. Through this management team, you will provide strategic direction and leadership for an organization of approximately 300 employees. You will play an important role in customer relations and collaborate closely across Saab programmes, both to secure new business and to execute ongoing contracts efficiently. You will be part of the Business Unit Naval Combat Systems Management Team within Saab Business Area Naval.

We believe you have:
- Documented experience of leading a business, product area, or organisational unit with profitability and growth responsibility
- Ability to create and implement strategies that secure sustainable growth and profitability, with a track record of achieving or exceeding business plan targets
- Documented experience of leading a complex, high-tech organisation with highly skilled employees across both software and hardware domains
- Strong product vision to keep us at the forefront of the market and relevant to our customers' needs
- Ability to establish and maintain a strong network of customers, local industrial partners, and other relevant stakeholders
- Deep understanding of production, as PU Fire Control System also hosts the Global Head of Production role for BU Naval Combat Systems
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on current security protection regulations. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
