Your Role

As our Head of Project Execution, you will lead and develop an organisation responsible for rolling out Saab’s cutting-edge Air Traffic Management solutions to customers worldwide – including digital towers, tower automation, and support services.
You will play a key role in ensuring that our solutions are delivered with excellence, efficiency, profitability and quality, while driving collaboration and continuous improvement across teams and projects. As a member of the management team, you will also take shared responsibility for the overall success of the business.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Leading and developing the Project Execution organisation, including project managers and technical staff.
• Ensuring successful deployment and configuration of our products in customer environments, including Factory and System Acceptance Tests.
• Driving continuous improvement in project governance, tools, and processes.
• Establishing and following up on KPIs for project execution and performance.
• Acting as a key contact for customers during project execution and throughout the lifecycle of delivered systems, fostering trust and long-term relationships.
• Building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and learning within project execution.
• Contributing actively to strategy, business development, and shared initiatives within the management team.
Your Profile
We are looking for an experienced leader with a strong background in managing complex, technology-intensive projects and organisations. You combine a strategic perspective with operational drive, and you thrive in an international and collaborative environment.
To excel in this role, you likely have:
• Solid experience leading large and complex project portfolios, preferably in international environments.
• A proven track record of successfully managing project organisations or project management offices (PMO).
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Proven experience from managing P&L responsibility and driving business performance.
• Experience developing people, teams, and leaders.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with customers and colleagues alike.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to balance customer value, efficiency, and profitability.
• Experience negotiating with international government or large infrastructure customers.
• Experience in the air traffic control domain is an advantage.
• Fluency in English.

This role requires global business travel, as well as travel between our sites in Gothenburg, Växjö and Apeldoorn. The position can be based at any of these locations.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
