Your role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to own and develop Property Development & Excellence within Group Property. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the development, standardisation and governance of Property’s capabilities, expert functions, digital solutions and support structures.

Acting as the link between leadership, functional development, IT, Procurement, suppliers and regional delivery organisations, you will ensure that Property has the frameworks, systems and expertise required to deliver consistently and efficiently across sites and regions.

This is a key leadership role with responsibility for shaping Property’s development agenda, leading digitalisation and automation initiatives, strengthening expert capabilities, and promoting innovation, sustainability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Property Development & Excellence function, including line management and capability development
  • Contribute to Group Property’s strategy and ensure the function supports Saab’s overall business objectives
  • Own and drive Property’s development and excellence agenda, including frameworks, standards, governance and ways of working
  • Ensure alignment between expert functions, digital capabilities and support structures across the organisation
  • Lead Property’s digitalisation and automation agenda, including systems, tools, reporting and process improvements
  • Own and develop expert capabilities within Hard FM, Soft FM, Workplace Experience, Energy and Sustainability
  • Establish and maintain common service models, standards, guidelines and best practices across regions and sites
  • Ensure effective administrative support, communication, documentation and system support while reducing administrative burden across the organisation
  • Drive quality, compliance, knowledge sharing, onboarding and capability development across Group Property
  • Monitor market trends, emerging technologies and industry best practice, and drive innovation to enhance services, delivery models and user experience

Your profile

We are looking for a strategic and collaborative leader with a strong ability to drive organisational development, operational excellence and continuous improvement in a complex environment. You are an engaging people leader who builds trust, develops capabilities and creates alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.

With a structured and pragmatic approach, you translate strategic priorities into clear frameworks, standards and solutions, while driving digitalisation, innovation and long-term value creation.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Engineering, Real Estate, Facility Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Several years’ experience in senior leadership roles within Property, Facilities Management, Infrastructure, Engineering, or similar environments
  • Proven experience leading expert, development or digital functions
  • Strong understanding of developing, standardising and governing property-related capabilities, frameworks and ways of working in large, complex organisations
  • Experience working within matrix organisations and with outsourced service models and suppliers
  • Strong knowledge of Facility Management services, service models, standards, energy performance and sustainability initiatives
  • Experience leveraging digital tools, data, reporting and automation to improve efficiency and decision-making
  • Experience defining governance models, standards, guidelines and quality assurance mechanisms
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple functions and organisational levels
  • Ability to identify market trends, emerging technologies and innovation opportunities to support continuous improvement
  • Fluent in spoken and written English

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
