Your role
Do you want to lead the development of security capabilities within one of Sweden's most important technology companies? As Head of Site and Technical Security, you will play a key strategic role in shaping and developing Saab's physical and technical security capabilities. You will become part of Group Security and be responsible for ensuring that our security solutions support business objectives, comply with regulatory requirements, and are prepared to meet future security challenges.
In this position, you will lead a specialized function responsible for requirements, governance, controls, and expert support within physical security and technical security systems. You will define the long term strategy for the area while ensuring that security capabilities are effectively managed throughout their entire lifecycle. This is a role that combines strategic leadership with operational impact, giving you the opportunity to influence people, processes, and technologies that strengthen Saab's security capabilities for the future.
Your responsibilities will include
Leading and further developing the Site and Technical Security function
Defining and driving the long term strategy and roadmap for technical security systems
Ensuring governance, compliance, and quality across the function
Managing the lifecycle of security systems from planning and implementation through maintenance and retirement
Defining and continuously improving security requirements for physical and technical security
Leading controls, and structured follow up activities
Providing expert guidance and support across the organisation
Collaborating closely with Group Security, Group IT, Property functions, and other business areas
Monitoring developments in artificial intelligence, digitalisation, and emerging security technologies while identifying opportunities to strengthen the business
Leading and developing a highly engaged team where trust, accountability, and continuous improvement are central to the culture
Your profile
We are looking for an experienced and inspiring leader with a strategic mindset and a genuine interest in security and technology. You are trusted by those around you and have the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels of the organisation while developing both people and business. You have a strong ability to communicate and connect with people across all levels of the organisation, from senior leadership to operational teams, and you adapt your message in a way that creates understanding and alignment. You are skilled at bringing people together, building shared direction, and fostering cooperation across functions and disciplines. At the same time, you are passionate about developing both people and the business, always with a focus on creating sustainable progress together with others.
To succeed in this role, you have
At least ten years of relevant professional experience within the security field
Proven experience leading and developing high performing teams
Extensive knowledge of technical security systems
Experience in system ownership and lifecycle management
The ability to balance strategic direction with operational execution
A strong interest in digitalisation, artificial intelligence, and modern security technologies
Excellent communication skills in English
It is considered an advantage if you also have
Experience in physical and site security
Knowledge of relevant standards and regulatory frameworks
Experience working within a large international organisation
