Your role
We are seeking a driven and engaged leader with a strong interest in radar system development and a proven track record of delivering results. As the Head of Specialty Engineering and Sub System Design GxA, you will lead the unit, including a team of three engineering managers, reporting directly to you.
The GxA Specialty Engineering and Sub System Design unit is responsible for our High Frequency Function, Information Assurance, and Environmental Engineering sections.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the GxA Specialty Engineering and Sub System Design unit
- Continuously improve ways of working
- Influence and contribute to the development and improvement of the Giraffe xA product portfolio
- Have a close cooperation with other Product Units, Business Units and Business Areas within Saab Surveillance

You will be a part of the Design GxA management team and report to the Head of Design GxA. The management team is a team where every member contributes to the success of the Product Unit by motivate and inspire each other. For this role, we are looking for someone who likes to develop and challenge themselves as well as their team members to ensure we reach our common goal to design, develop and deliver world class surface sensor products.

We also assume you have:
- Management experience from design and change management
- Genuine interest in complex technical product development and cooperation across sites
- Drive, collaboration skills and ability to motivate your employees
- Communicative, transparent, structured and performance driven ways of working
- Appropriate professional or postgraduate qualification in a business oriented or technical discipline
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
