We are now looking for a strategic and people-focused Head of Software Development for GBAD C2, responsible for driving excellence across multiple software development teams working on next‑generation Command and Control solutions.
Your role
As Head of SW Development GBAD C2, you will have overall responsibility for several teams and managers within software development, ensuring the delivery of robust, scalable, and secure Command and Control systems.
This is a senior leadership role where you combine organizational leadership, strategic direction, and technical insight to enable high-performing teams. You will lead through your managers, shaping ways of working, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring alignment with both product vision and customer needs.
You will be a key member of the GBAD C2 Management Team, contributing to overall strategy, priorities, and long-term development.
You will be responsible for:
- Lead and develop managers and teams
- Drive excellence in software development and ways of working
- Own and evolve the software strategy aligned with the GBAD C2 roadmap
- Ensure delivery in complex System-of-Systems/LSI environments
- Create structure and conditions for predictable, high-quality delivery
- Collaborate with colleges, customers, partners, and stakeholders

- Experienced leader of leaders in a development organization
- Strong background in software engineering and complex systems
- A transparent and communicative leader who builds trust and alignment
- Skilled at creating clarity through visual thinking, models, and storytelling
- Strategic, structured, and people-oriented

- Knowledge of agile at scale and modern software development practices
