Do you want to lead leaders and take full system responsibility for advanced GBAD C2 solutions?
We are now looking for a Head of System Design, responsible for driving system ownership, technical product leadership, architecture, Integrated Product Support (ILS), and enablement across our system portfolio.
Your role
In this role, you lead through your managers, building a culture that drives collaboration, communication and results across system design, lifecycle support, and enablement. By empowering your leaders, you ensure the organization benefits from modern capabilities such as automation, CI/CD, configuration management, UX, and AI.
You combine strategic direction with hands-on awareness, creating alignment from architectural vision to delivered product. As part of the GBAD C2 Management Team, you help shape the future while continuously developing both people and capabilities.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and develop managers and teams
- Hold end-to-end system responsibility for systems and subsystems
- Drive technical product management and system architecture
- Ensure high-quality ILS deliveries (technical documentation, manuals, help systems)
- Lead and evolve the Enablement domain, securing efficient ways of working through automation, CI/CD, CM, UX, and AI
- Secure alignment between design, product definition, and customer needs
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, customers, and partners
- Continuously improve ways of working, clarity, and delivery capability
Your profile
- Experienced leader, preferably leading leaders or multiple teams
- Strong background in system design, architecture, and product-oriented development
- Experience from ILS, technical documentation, or lifecycle support
- Experience in driving enablement capabilities such as automation, CI/CD, CM, UX, or AI is highly valued
- A transparent and communicative leader who creates trust and alignment
- Skilled in creating clarity through visualization, models, and structured communication
- Strategic, structured, and delivery-focused
Merits: Experience from defense or other safety-critical industries, systems engineering and/or international work.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
