As part of our Land group, the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer will play a key role in furthering the development of Saab’s land systems and deployable health solutions. This will entail undertaking logistics engineering and obsolescence analysis activities in support of acquisition projects and sustainment tasks.
Further, the successful candidate will:
Undertake ILS analyses in the areas of: RAM, FMECA, level of repair, spares and PHS&T
Liaise with the OEMs to identify, analyse and recommend corrective actions for equipment obsolescence problems, including development of costed corrective actions plans
Undertake life cycle cost analysis for acquisition and sustainment projects
Review supplier and OEM generated ILS plans, logistic support data, technical manuals and other ILS documentation
Provide logistics engineering input into system engineering planning and hardware design and implementation
Support equipment maintenance manuals and training development
Your skills and experience will include:
Tertiary qualifications in a technical engineering discipline (i.e. logistics, electrical/electronics, mechanical/mechatronics) or equivalent on the job experience
Sound experience in logistics and reliability and maintainability engineering
Experience in the application of relevant military and commercial logistics standards
Knowledge of ILS methods and current tools
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to interact effectively across broad project disciplines
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
